Appledore believe in straightening your child's teeth without extractions, as far as is possible.

Where a child has a bite problem, we like to start treatment as early as possible, (as early as 5-8 years of age) we can eliminate the need for surgery at a later date in patients with severe bite problems. In some cases, early interceptive treatment can eliminate or reduce the treatment time for fixed braces at a later date, as we will have made room for the teeth to erupt.

Young children are usually much better about wearing their braces than teenagers, and we can make the appliances in funky colours and designs to suit their character.

If you have a dentist for your routine care we are happy to see your child for orthodontic treatment only and will be pleased to provide a treatment letter to your dentist to keep them in the loop.
