Arson attack on pigeon loftThames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses after a pigeon loft was deliberately set on fire in Milton Keynes killing all 27 birds inside.

The incident happened on Wednesday (1/9) at about 9.30pm, in the rear garden of an address in Crispin Road, Bradville. The next door neighbour of the victim noticed the fire and alerted the fire service who then contacted police.

PC Andrew Glover, investigating the arson, said: “The owner has spent the last 20-years breeding and training the pigeons and is extremely upset by what has happened. We believe the person, or people who did this were aware of what was inside which makes this even more distressing. I would appeal to anyone with information about this incident to contact us.”

If you have any information about this incident, please contact PC Glover at Milton Keynes police station via the 24-hour non-emergency number, 0845 8 505 505. If you do not want to speak to the police, call the Crimestoppers charity anonymously on 0800 555 111.

You can also give information to the police in person by visiting any police station. Find out the opening times and location of your local station (opens new window) or please call 0845 8 505 505.
